1992-Present Aquatics Specialist, Miami-Dade County, Park & Recreation Department, Dade Co., FL. Responsible for coordinating and directing multiple aquatic programs at county swimming pools, atolls, lakes, and related aquatic facilities. Duties include departmental aquatic safety officer, supervising staff, developing standardized policies, procedures, and programs, acting as a recruiter and trainer for aquatic employees, monitoring construction and maintenance of facilities, and acting as liaison with regulatory agencies. Further responsibilities, include initiating requisitions, writing technical specifications, promoting quality assurance and executing preparation for various special events, such as the Lipton International Players Tennis Championship, County Championship Swim Meet, and the Summit of the Americas.
1988-Present Aquatics Safety Consultant, Aquatic Safety Expert Services, Miami, FL. Specialize in aquatics-safety, providing operations inspections and facility audits educational programs, and expert witness services to the legal community.

1990-1992 Aquatics Coordinator, American Red Cross, Greater Miami Chapter, Dade and Monroe Co., Served as the technical resource on policies/procedures and promotion of aquatics programs. Coordinated and supervised the chapter-wide recruitment, training, operation and recognition of American Red Cross aquatics personnel in areas of lifeguarding, swimming and small craft instruction. Furthermore, received and implemented a research grant for "Drowning Prevention Education", from the Florida Department of Health and Rehabilitative Services.

1986 Head Coach, United States National Fin Swimming Team, Underwater Society of America. Trained, recruited and brought the United States National Team to the World Championships, West Berlin, West Germany.

1985-1986 Aquatic Risk Researcher, National Swimming Pool Foundation, San Antonio, TX. Collected and analyzed data relating to drownings in the United States. Worked in conjunction with 47 state health departments, U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and the National Swimming Pool and Spa Institute.
1984-1986 Graduate Teaching Fellow, Department of Physical Education, University of Oregon, Eugene, OR.Taught health fitness classes in the Physical Education Department. Courses taught included, swimming, lifesaving, sailing, weight training, aerobics, racquetball, and scuba diving.
1982-1986 Head Lifeguard/Assistant Pool Operator, University of Oregon, Eugene, OR.Trained, evaluated and coordinated lifeguards for the university's swimming-pools and openwater activities. Included accident prevention, spinal, water craft, and other rescue training. Conducted pool maintenance, chemical and chlorine gas applications for the university's 25 yard competition Leighton pool and its 20 yard instructional Gerlinger pool.

1982-Summer Pool Director, Mountain Meadow Ranch, Susanville, CA.Director of special events and administrator for all aquatic activities. Aquatic activities included swimming, water skiing and sailing programs. Mountain Meadow Ranch is an elite co-ed private summer camp in Northern California. Alumni include children of President Ronald Reagan, Rickie Nelson, James Brolin and cast members from "Little House on the Prairie".
1981-Summer Head Waterfront Director, Camp Cooper, Boy Scouts of America, Willamia, OR. Trained staff and instructed lifesaving, swimming, canoeing, rowing and sailing courses. Implemented and organized the camp's overall safety program and oversaw swimming endurance events.
